Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Have experience building external-facing APIs or integrating third-party systems.
- Have strong Python skills, or strong skills in another object-oriented language and willingness to work in Python.
- Have experience with serverless technologies and cloud environments such as AWS Lambda and EC2.
- Have experience designing asynchronous workflows.
- Have experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Have strong system design, debugging, and problem-solving fundamentals.
- Have a track record of owning work and driving projects to completion with minimal oversight.
- Communicate proactively, surface blockers, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Be comfortable testing ideas, measuring results, and iterating quickly.
- Have excellent English communication skills.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build external-facing API endpoints for core customer workflows.
- Integrate the platform with third-party services.
- Translate product requirements into reliable business logic.
- Improve database and query performance across the platform.
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues.
- Contribute to making the platform faster, more stable, and easier to use.
- Build scalable backend solutions.
- Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers.
- Own features from concept through production.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
