Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services in production.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or a comparable compiled language.
- Have strong Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning fundamentals.
- Have hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, including AWS or GCP.
- Have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices such as Terraform/CDK and CI/CD pipelines.
- Have a proven track record diagnosing and resolving complex distributed-systems issues.
- Have experience participating in on-call production support.
- Experience with real-time communication protocols or streaming frameworks such as SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, or GStreamer is a plus.
- Experience integrating telephony, contact-center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka/MSK, distributed caching, REST/gRPC service-to-service API design, observability tooling, or security practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and media pipelines.
- Optimize pipelines for low-latency processing, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Build and evolve integrations across communication technologies, protocols, and enterprise contact center platforms.
- Lead projects from architecture and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Diagnose distributed-systems issues using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests, and improve reliability, capacity, and security.
- Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Partner with Product, System Test, Infrastructure, SRE, and analytics teams on data ingestion.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation after team training and production-readiness onboarding.
