Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of experience shipping production backend services.
- Have strong Python skills or experience with an equivalent backend language.
- Have experience designing, running, and debugging APIs and services under load.
- Have built and scaled distributed architectures hands-on.
- Understand reliability, consistency, and observability tradeoffs from running distributed systems in production.
- Have taken ambiguous problems from a blank page to a deployed product, including prototyping, architecture, building, testing, and deployment.
- Have experience with data pipelines or data-heavy systems on AWS and cloud-native services.
- Frontend experience, ideally with React, is useful for shipping complete features.
- PySpark and ML platform experience are pluses.
- Experience with agentic or LLM-powered systems is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Take vague problem statements from prototype through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch ownership.
- Build and run production-grade Python backend services and APIs for the core platform and agentic systems.
- Design and scale distributed systems for reliability, observability, and performance as customer data and agent volume grow.
- Evolve simple, flexible designs as the product and company scale.
- Build and maintain data pipelines behind analytics, ML, and customer-facing features.
- Work with product, ML, and infrastructure partners to ship customer value.
- Build React front ends when needed to complete a feature.
