Requirements
- Have an associate degree in Information Technology or a related field and 2 years of experience in IT support, PC support, or relevant work; alternatively, have a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field with 2 years of relevant IT support experience is preferred.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Be familiar with Skype and VPN connections.
- Demonstrate technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with users and technical teams.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative IT support team and independently when troubleshooting.
- Document technical issues clearly and accurately, and know when to escalate complex incidents.
- Complete required pre-employment screening, including criminal background and education verification, as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-tier technical support to end users for applications, hardware, and workplace technology.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve user incidents while gathering and documenting support information.
- Escalate issues requiring second-tier assistance with complete and accurate documentation.
- Recreate or simulate user problems to identify root causes and develop resolutions.
- Collaborate with network services, systems administrators, server support, and application development teams to restore services and resolve technical issues.
- Recommend system or process modifications to reduce recurring user problems.
- Maintain technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills relevant to the supported environment.
- Communicate incident details, troubleshooting activities, and resolution status to users and internal technical teams.
