Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Recent, practical experience with healthcare interfaces, medical device integration, hospital HTM operations, or healthcare systems implementation.
- Experience coordinating projects or complex work across technical, clinical, vendor, and leadership stakeholders.
- Working understanding of interface activities sufficient to follow technical discussions, identify unresolved questions, and recognize project or workflow impacts.
- Ability to ask technical follow-up questions, drive action items to resolution, and communicate issues clearly to technical teams and leadership.
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance.
- Preferred: Experience supporting VA or VHA operations or a multi-facility EHR deployment.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Oracle Health Cerner Millennium or VA FEHRM.
- Preferred: Familiarity with HL7 messaging or healthcare interface testing; expert-level HL7 proficiency is not required.
- Preferred: Experience with medical device, imaging, laboratory, or other clinical system interfaces.
- Preferred: Familiarity with applicable healthcare regulatory requirements and standards.
- Preferred: Experience using tools, including AI-assisted tools, to improve documentation, analysis, or workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate interface planning, schedules, dependencies, testing, issue resolution, and deployment milestones across concurrent hospital-system workstreams.
- Participate in interface and workflow discussions with Oracle Health, facility teams, and technical specialists.
- Clarify requirements, ownership, open issues, and next steps through focused questions.
- Identify technical or workflow issues that may affect testing, deployment readiness, or project milestones, and escalate concerns.
- Track decisions, risks, action items, and owners through resolution across facilities and stakeholders.
- Prepare meeting documentation, status reports, executive summaries, and leadership briefings from interface discussions.
- Coordinate follow-up among Biomedical Engineering, clinical staff, technical teams, vendors, and program stakeholders.
- Support interface work through planning, testing, deployment, and post-deployment follow-up.
