Requirements
- Have two or more years of experience in business development and/or account management.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
- Experience with government contract tracking systems or platforms for monitoring and researching federal, state, or local opportunities is preferred.
- Experience working for a professional services firm is preferred.
- Have general knowledge and confidence using computer databases and menu-driven reports.
- Bring project coordination and organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Be able to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities
- Execute business development activities aligned with HCEM growth objectives, target markets, priority accounts, and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and develop leads through targeted outreach, client relationships, industry involvement, internal referrals, and other initiatives.
- Conduct outreach to prospective and existing clients through calls, emails, meetings, events, and campaigns.
- Build client and prospect relationships and identify opportunities for additional services, cross-selling, and renewals.
- Follow up on leads and opportunities, documenting next steps and supporting progression through the sales pipeline.
- Support pursuits from lead through close, including client coordination, proposals, qualifications, scope and fee development, and internal follow-up.
- Coordinate with the Business Development Manager, Operations, technical resources, and subject matter experts.
- Maintain accurate business development information on client activity, leads, opportunities, pipeline, proposals, orders, and renewals.
- Track upcoming renewals and coordinate client engagement and internal resources to support retention.
- Participate in industry events and monitor industry trends, client challenges, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
