Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management experience at a high-growth technology company, building consumer products at significant scale.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing product managers.
  • Track record of growing high-performing product management teams, including hiring, onboarding, and talent development.
  • Experience in fintech, insurtech, or another regulated consumer industry is a plus.
  • Ability to generate, test, and refine hypotheses using data, user insights, and market trends.
  • Strong analytical orientation and ability to measure success rigorously across a portfolio of bets.
  • Proficiency in self-serve analytics using SQL and Amplitude.
  • Ability to partner with data science on complex analysis.
  • Experience translating strategic ideas into roadmaps, rapid prototypes, and iterative product improvements.
  • Ability to work across long-term vision and hands-on execution.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Track record of solving customer problems and translating them into business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers; set goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Define and own the Consumer Product team's multi-year vision and roadmap, aligned with company strategy and growth objectives.
  • Translate business goals into sequenced product bets and develop go-to-market strategies for new opportunities, including Indexed Universal Life and Whole Life products.
  • Own the consumer experience from acquisition through purchase and onboarding, improving conversion rates and user satisfaction.
  • Educate consumers about life insurance and help them purchase appropriate coverage for their families.
  • Define hypotheses, design experiments, and use results to guide product decisions.
  • Identify and remove friction in the application experience and motivate users to complete applications and obtain coverage.
  • Build relationships with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Actuarial partners, and align teams on shared goals.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and results to executive leadership and the broader organization.
