Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of accounting experience in a similar field; Senior Accountant experience is preferred.
  • Hold a BS/BA degree in accounting.
  • Have a strong understanding of month-end and year-end close processes at a public company.
  • Have working knowledge of US GAAP standards and an understanding of internal controls.
  • Be proficient in Excel.
  • Be well-organized, diligent, and able to work independently and solve issues.
  • Be able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • SaaS general ledger accounting experience is preferred.
  • Big 4 or public accounting experience is preferred.
  • A CPA or current CPA candidacy is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite, OneStream, or another ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the general ledger for assigned subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely transaction records.
  • Own payroll and employee-related accounting, including actuals, accruals, bonuses, commissions, severance, retirement contributions, benefits, and related reconciliations.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements and variances against prior periods, and present concise flux explanations to management.
  • Prepare work papers and month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and select income statement accounts.
  • Identify discrepancies in reconciliations and provide potential resolutions.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Revenue Operations, Legal, Tax, and other stakeholders to align operations and accounting.
  • Assist with intercompany, lease, debt, segment, and M&A transactional accounting processes.
  • Ensure internal controls over assigned GL areas and SOX and IPE compliance, and work with internal audit on identified deficiencies.
  • Identify and lead process improvements to streamline month-end close and general ledger processes.
