Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- Have at least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.
- Have 7+ years of experience designing and building solutions using distributed computing or service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Have 3+ years of experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services or architecture; AWS is preferred.
- Have 3+ years of experience building highly scalable products and platforms.
- Have 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
- Have 3+ years of experience delivering large, complex programs and contributing to business or technical vision.
- Have experience collaborating with large cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams.
- Have experience building systems and solutions in a highly regulated environment.
- An MBA or master's degree in a related technical field and PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification are preferred.
- Have 3+ years of people management experience or experience influencing an organization as an individual contributor.
Responsibilities
- Establish operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling that scale across portfolios.
- Develop and align program roadmaps with business objectives, definitions of done, technical solutions, and dependency sequencing.
- Lead cross-platform technical investment planning and align architecture toward long-term platform convergence and reuse.
- Serve as an executive-level escalation point for program risks.
- Influence technology leaders to make data-driven tradeoffs between speed, cost, and resiliency.
- Define measurable platform success outcomes, including availability, scalability, cost efficiency, and developer velocity.
- Ensure delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams.
- Teach the organization what effective technical program management can achieve.
