Requirements
- Have 3–5 years of insurance carrier or agency experience in a compliance-related role.
- Bring in-depth knowledge of insurance compliance, regulatory frameworks, and ethical standards.
- Hold active Florida 2-15 and 2-20 insurance licenses in good standing.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, IVANS, and agency or policy management systems.
- Have strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a company-wide compliance program in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Identify, assess, and communicate compliance risks, and advise leadership on mitigation strategies.
- Conduct audits and investigations, and recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and revise the compliance manual and code of conduct.
- Design and lead compliance and ethics training for employees, agents, and contractors, and maintain training records.
- Manage agency compliance functions, including licensing, appointments, audits, commission processing, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Support agent and client inquiries and collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve policy, commission, and system issues.
- Report to and collaborate with the compliance committee, executive leadership, and board of directors; track incidents and prepare routine reports.
- Ensure contracts and business documents contain appropriate compliance language.
- Support HR with compliance-related background checks and disciplinary actions.
