Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 6 years of general IT experience, or 8+ years of general IT experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services.
- 2+ years of code-defined infrastructure experience.
- 2+ years of Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) experience.
- Experience with Agile Project Management or other project management methodologies.
- 4 years of experience with cloud-native patterns, including services such as AWS Lambda.
- 4 years of experience architecting and building scalable, automated infrastructure.
- Preferred: AWS Associate and/or Professional Level Certification.
- Preferred: 2+ years of programming experience with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, or similar languages.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale enterprise IT environments and consultative, client-facing consulting.
- Preferred: knowledge of AWS and application observability concepts and methods.
- Preferred: effective verbal and written communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements and provide guidance on scalable cloud architecture and operations.
- Lead cross-functional teams delivering cloud solutions and own implementation of advanced client engineering work.
- Write Infrastructure as Code in multiple frameworks and break projects into independent components.
- Lead re-platforming and refactoring efforts for existing systems.
- Design, implement, and build scalable AWS architectures focused on reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain observability solutions using AWS native and partner tools for application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, logging, and tracing.
- Work with response teams and operations leadership to define monitoring metrics, data, logs, runbooks, and automation.
- Partner with CloudOps, DevOps, and security teams to reduce operational noise, address root causes, and embed resilience and cost optimization.
- Coach team members, prepare stories and tasks, review code, and participate in Agile delivery.
- Engage clients through presentations, technical decisions, education, and discovery for prioritized improvement backlogs.
