Requirements
- Have 2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting production environments in L2 Technical Support, DevOps, or Web Systems Engineering.
- Have hands-on experience in the video streaming, OTT, or media domain, including live streaming, RTMP ingest, file-based encoding/transcoding, and delivery workflows.
- Understand HLS, DASH, adaptive bitrate streaming, codecs, containers, and common playback error patterns.
- Have hands-on browser diagnostic experience with Chrome DevTools, including Console, Network traces, CORS headers, HAR capture, video segments, manifests, and buffering issues.
- Understand REST API concepts, HTTP methods, headers, and status codes, and have hands-on API debugging experience with Postman or curl.
- Have strong Linux command-line skills.
- Have practical experience analyzing service logs and checking pod and service health in Docker and Kubernetes using kubectl.
- Be available and ready for off-hours on-call coverage: Mon–Fri 00:00–05:30 CET and Sat–Sun 24/7.
- Have English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or above.
Responsibilities
- Provide off-hours L2 on-call support for enterprise video streaming and encoding workflows.
- Own incident triage, ticket logging, root cause analysis, workaround implementation, and resolution within SLA targets.
- Troubleshoot REST API integrations, including endpoints, authentication, headers, CORS preflights, and payload errors, using Postman or curl.
- Diagnose web player issues with Chrome DevTools, including buffering and HLS/DASH manifest and segment availability.
- Validate live streaming and encoding pipelines, including RTMP ingest, encoder health, transcoding, and adaptive bitrate delivery.
- Analyze container and service logs and check pod and service status using Docker and Kubernetes across multi-cloud environments, mainly GCP.
- Investigate network, proxy, and gateway issues involving TLS certificates, HTTP/HTTPS, Nginx, and HAProxy.
- Document incidents and client updates in Zendesk/Jira, and escalate complex issues to L3 with logs, reproduction steps, hypotheses, and artifacts.
- Maintain ticket hygiene and follow handover procedures between on-call shifts.
