Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in backend development.
- Have strong commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Have experience designing and developing scalable backend services and microservices.
- Be fluent in German at C1/C2 level; this is mandatory.
- Have very good command of English.
- Have experience working directly with clients, including requirements gathering, solution discussions, and ongoing collaboration.
- Have experience with AWS services and cloud-based environments.
- Have solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design for scalable, high-performance systems.
- Have a good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Have experience designing and developing REST and/or gRPC APIs.
- Be able to work independently, take ownership, and drive solutions from concept to delivery.
- Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Golang, Python (especially ETL), NestJS, RabbitMQ or AWS SQS, Angular or Svelte, energy-industry knowledge, agile-environment experience, and use of AI tools are listed as nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.
- Contribute to microservices built with Golang and Python.
- Collaborate directly with German-speaking clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.
- Build and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries.
- Develop and maintain gRPC and REST APIs.
- Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes (AWS).
- Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems.
- Ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend (Angular) and backend (NestJS) teams.
- Work independently from concept to production delivery and participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
