Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in C#.
- Have professional experience developing and shipping mobile games using Unity.
- Understand software architecture patterns, data structures, system design, and software engineering principles.
- Have experience developing consumer-facing applications and supporting products in live production environments.
- Bring strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in established and complex codebases.
- Have experience with automated testing, code reviews, version control, and practices that improve code quality and product stability.
- Be able to own features independently from implementation through production with limited supervision.
- Preferred: experience with Go (Golang), including backend service development, API design, and database integration.
- Preferred: experience with mobile release processes, CI/CD pipelines, and App Store or Google Play submissions.
- Plus: experience developing native Unity plugins using Objective-C/Swift for iOS or Java/Kotlin for Android.
- Plus: familiarity with casual or mid-core mobile games, their mechanics, and live analytics or business intelligence tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain features across mobile game clients and backend services.
- Translate requirements and creative concepts from Product, Design, and Art teams into technical implementations.
- Own features from implementation and validation through production release and ongoing support.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, including crashes, client-server integration problems, performance bottlenecks, and regressions.
- Refactor existing code to improve maintainability, stability, performance, and software quality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical architecture, design decisions, and engineering standards.
- Estimate development work, identify dependencies, and surface technical risks.
- Maintain content and build pipelines supporting client and server deployments.
- Validate changes through automated testing, in-game testing, release checks, and other quality assurance practices.
- Support production releases and investigate post-deployment issues.
