Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of Product experience, including at least 2 to 3 years on platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or backend/API products.
- Reason about distributed systems, execution models, and reliability and scalability trade-offs.
- Be able to engage credibly with senior engineers in architecture discussions.
- Have led cross-team technical initiatives with delivery risk, ideally including a migration or breaking change.
- Make prioritization trade-offs explicit and connect foundational or technical-debt work to customer and commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrate ownership and autonomy in driving problems and outcomes.
- Explain complex platform topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understand software running in customer-controlled environments, including self-hosted, air-gapped, and restricted deployments.
- Nice to have: read code or build prototypes.
- Nice to have: experience with B2B SaaS security, compliance, or deployment complexity.
- Nice to have: familiarity with workflow automation, orchestration, or open-source and developer-community products.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the Core Platform product strategy and roadmap with Engineering and Product leadership.
- Prioritize foundational investments based on customer impact, enterprise needs, technical risk, and engineering effort.
- Lead product discovery for technically complex problems with enterprise customers and internal customer-facing teams.
- Drive scalability and reliability improvements to the execution engine, including worker pools and distributed execution.
- Improve trigger and execution reliability across Cloud and self-hosted enterprise deployments.
- Shape a more secure and flexible approach to executing code within n8n.
- Plan and release major or breaking platform versions, including migration strategy, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
- Establish success measures and hold the squad accountable for outcomes.
- Coordinate Core Platform work with Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and internal product teams.
