Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of commercial insurance account servicing experience.
- Hold a current Property & Casualty license.
- Have a high school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred.
- Have working knowledge of Property & Casualty lines of coverage and services.
- Have experience with agency management systems, rating procedures, coverages, and insurance industry operations.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Process applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audits, and other client-service items accurately and on time.
- Answer client questions about policy coverage, exclusions, changes, and insurance needs, and assist with coverage changes.
- Service client accounts under the oversight of Producers or Account Executives, researching coverage and policy issues and making routine policy adjustments.
- Conduct renewal work, including exposure analysis, marketing comparisons, quote evaluation, premium and commission negotiation, proposal preparation, and binder accuracy review.
- Coordinate with the Sales Team on coverage, pricing, and marketing strategy, and submit applications with supporting documentation.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and other sales materials, and participate in meetings with prospective clients as part of the team.
- Maintain client files and workflow documentation, prepare billing, and provide administrative support.
- Build and maintain client relationships by making introductions, following up, and resolving questions and issues promptly.
