Requirements
- 10+ years building enterprise .NET applications in C# using .NET Framework and .NET Core.
- Experience modernizing large legacy .NET codebases through service extraction, modularization, or domain consolidation.
- Experience maintaining VB.NET codebases.
- Deep experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, WCF, Web Forms, and WinForms.
- Strong SQL Server skills, including T-SQL, performance tuning, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Front-end fundamentals in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS; Bootstrap experience is required.
- Experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework, LINQ, or Dapper.
- Automated testing expertise with MSTest, NUnit, XUnit, or Moq.
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, repos, gated builds, and YAML.
- PowerShell and Bash scripting skills.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services, logging, monitoring, and observability patterns.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and design discussions across multiple applications and services.
- Evaluate legacy architectures and propose modernization patterns, including service boundaries, APIs, refactors, and consolidation.
- Develop and maintain software using .NET, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and front-end technologies.
- Build and optimize SQL Server objects, SSIS packages, ETL pipelines, and reporting.
- Diagnose issues across applications, APIs, data, and infrastructure to unblock teams.
- Translate complex requirements into technical plans, work breakdowns, and delivery sequencing.
- Champion code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and informal guidance.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and automate workflows with PowerShell and Bash.
- Use and help establish safe practices for AI-assisted engineering tools.
