Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional full-stack web development experience with deep Shopify expertise.
- Have proven experience building custom Shopify apps and advanced storefront customizations.
- Have strong experience with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, Liquid, React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Have experience designing scalable architectures for enterprise or high-growth Shopify merchants.
- Understand modern software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and version control.
- Be able to participate in client-facing technical discussions.
- Be able to work independently and lead technical initiatives in a remote environment.
- Shopify POS, ERP integrations, or unified commerce experience is preferred.
- Previous consulting or digital agency experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-store, multi-region, or high-volume Shopify environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce or broader eCommerce ecosystems is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of Shopify-based products, custom applications, storefront extensions, and internal tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Shopify solutions using Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and Shopify APIs.
- Drive technical architecture decisions focused on scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.
- Design and implement integrations between Shopify and ERP, POS, payment, and third-party platforms.
- Establish engineering best practices for version control, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in client discovery sessions and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.
- Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain technical documentation, reusable development patterns, and architectural standards.
