Requirements
- Experience running hiring processes, whether as a recruiter or in a role where hiring was a significant part of the work.
- Strong judgment to make decisions under uncertainty.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage candidates.
- High level of organization and reliability to manage 5–10 hiring rounds simultaneously.
- Deep mission-alignment with AI safety and understanding of the AI ecosystem.
- Ability to attend meetings in the ET time zone.
- Ability to travel 3–6 times a year for conferences and events.
Responsibilities
- Manage every stage of the hiring pipeline, including application review, work tests, interviews, reference checks, work trials, and offers.
- Source candidates by drawing on programs, networks, and the broader AI safety ecosystem.
- Design and refine hiring infrastructure, including applications, work tests, interview questions, and candidate tracking.
- Help scope new roles and weigh in on organizational design and team structure.
- Support hiring for Kairos Labs, an upcoming incubator for AI safety organizations.
