Requirements
- Proven track record in account management including setting appointments, customer service, pricing, proposals, and closing.
- 3-5 years of customer service and account management experience in the transportation and logistics field preferred.
- College or university degree in Marketing or a Business-related field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
- Ability to function independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers through proactive, consistent communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned business units and trade lanes.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate logistics operations for existing customers.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with vendors and suppliers.
- Accurately maintain and update customer and operational data within company systems.
- Drive customer retention and engagement by anticipating needs and resolving issues.
- Identify, develop, and manage new business relationships in target markets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate rates, identify carriers, and procure specialized equipment.
- Coordinate and support prospect, sales, and customer meetings in partnership with the VP of Sales/Client Relations.
- Participate in rate matrix reviews to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
