Requirements
- 5–7 years of buying, merchandising, or procurement experience.
- Industry experience in furniture, home goods, or textiles is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing through wholesale, closeout, or liquidation channels.
- Track record managing end-to-end vendor relationships, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with inventory planning, open-to-buy (OTB), and purchase order systems.
- Ability to work decisively on time-sensitive purchasing opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, organization, and relationship-management skills.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Supply Chain to align inventory needs with the international supply pipeline and close gaps with domestic sourcing.
- Develop and manage a robust bench of wholesale, closeout, and liquidation vendors to fulfill inventory requirements.
- Own end-to-end procurement for standing replenishment programs like mattresses and bedding to maintain warehouse par levels.
- Coordinate with market-specific Creative Directors to source soft goods and decor that align with local design aesthetics.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors to protect margins and meet fulfillment deadlines.
- Collaborate with design and enterprise sales teams to centralize and scale domestic procurement functions.
