Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3-6 years of experience in progressive accounting roles.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
- Experience with modern accounting software (NetSuite preferred).
- Ability to document accounting conclusions.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in public accounting, large corporate, or fintech environments preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee high-volume daily refinance loan transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Manage end-to-end Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) analysis, capitalization, and schedule reconciliations.
- Lead accounting onboarding for new lenders, ensuring systems and operational requirements are met.
- Drive month-end close workflows, including preparing complex journal entries and accruals.
- Perform balance sheet and revenue reconciliations to ensure general ledger accuracy.
- Support monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and period-over-period reviews.
- Audit close procedures to eliminate bottlenecks and automate manual tasks.
- Collaborate on establishing GAAP-compliant business processes and internal controls.
