Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Active PE license.
- 2-10+ years of professional experience in accident reconstruction or traffic engineering.
- Ability to provide expert witness testimony in deposition or trial.
- Proficiency with CAE-based analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills and independent judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform field inspections, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in engineering is preferred.
- PTOE certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reconstruct vehicular collisions using analysis, CAE-based tools, and test data.
- Perform forensic mapping of collision sites and vehicles.
- Analyze single and multiple vehicle collisions and intersection traffic signal timing/control plans.
- Inspect roadways, traffic control devices, and vehicles for origin and cause of failure.
- Document and preserve evidence, prepare written technical reports, and provide expert testimony for litigation.
- Present demonstrative diagrams and charts to clients.
