Requirements
- 3+ years of professional backend development experience in Go.
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB.
- Experience integrating with external REST APIs, including handling errors, retries, and rate limits.
- Strong attention to detail regarding financial data, including concepts like idempotency and consistency.
- Habit of writing unit and integration tests, including failure paths.
- Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and how to avoid them in backend services.
- Ability to communicate clearly and asynchronously across teams and time zones.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and API integrations in Go that connect the platform to external billing systems.
- Build features such as usage tracking, estimates, usage alerts, and invoicing.
- Complete billing migrations to external systems while ensuring data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve billing issues raised by Support and Finance.
- Contribute to anti-abuse measures and maintain security for sensitive customer and payment data.
- Partner with Finance, Product, and Support teams through clear asynchronous communication.
- Write tested, well-documented code and participate in pair programming and code reviews.
