Requirements
- AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CIC, COC) certification.
- Minimum of two years of recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience in coding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems.
- Technical competency with remote-based connectivity including VPNs.
- Experience with multi-factor authentication via smartphone.
- Proficiency with video conferencing platforms.
- Proficiency with Outlook email and calendar.
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a committed regular schedule.
Responsibilities
- Utilize and enhance coding expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Code ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Apply knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems.
- Meet client productivity targets consistently.
- Maintain a coding quality accuracy rate of 95% or greater.
- Manage daily tasks using Outlook, calendar, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Maintain a committed regular schedule with reliable and punctual attendance.
