Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN or APP license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a nurse
- 1-2 years of direct experience with pediatric neurosurgical, pediatric neurology, or pediatric critical care documentation
- Experience in quality assurance, chart audit, peer chart review, or clinical abstraction
- Familiarity with neurosurgical operative notes, neuroimaging reports (MRI, CT, shunt series), EEG and seizure monitoring records, or neurodevelopmental assessments
- Comfortable interpreting clinical notes across different specialties
- Ability to work independently and adopt new platforms and tools
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills for explaining corrections
- Possession of a personal laptop or desktop computer
Responsibilities
- Review completed case documentation and labeling against clinical guidelines
- Verify abstracted data against source medical records
- Correct labeling and abstraction errors
- Flag documentation that is ambiguous, incomplete, or clinically inconsistent
- Review AI-processed documentation and labeling for quality and safety
- Abstract key clinical data and label it according to guidelines
- Work across diverse records including operative notes, neuroimaging, EEG reports, and critical care documentation
