Proven experience developing another leader, such as a manager or tech lead.
Track record of shipping mission-critical software to production.
Experience owning prioritization, estimation, and roadmap decision-making.
Experience providing direct developmental feedback and managing through underperformance.
Technical proficiency in at least one stack layer (Ruby, Python, React, iOS, or Android) with ability to review architecture across others.
Experience with CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and telemetry tools.
Hands-on experience directing AI agents through real-world production changes.
Strong written communication skills for documentation and clarity.

Own delivery across multiple squads including sprint shaping, prioritization, backlog grooming, and estimation.
Manage cycle time, ensuring quality while maintaining accountability for team velocity.
Maintain technical engagement by shipping production work on squads managed directly and reviewing architecture on others.
Partner with Product Strategists to define scope and roadmap delivery.
Mentor and grow engineering managers, with a focus on their professional development and squad health.
Plan long-term team structure including headcount and onboarding paths for agent-heavy codebases.
Set standards for AI-assisted development and lead cross-functional initiatives to resolve systemic engineering bottlenecks.
