Job Details

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with economic impact assessment
  • Proficiency in I-O, REMI, or IMPLAN modeling (or equivalent)
  • Experience with state regulatory economic analysis delivery
  • Ability to produce reproducible methods and clear documentation of model limitations
  • Ability to create policy-ready reports
  • Comfortable working as a 1099 contractor
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Advanced degree in economics, public policy, or related field (nice to have)
  • Experience with California state agency or regulated-industry economic analysis (nice to have)
  • Background in cannabis, alcohol, or regulated-product market analysis (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support economic impact assessments for state agencies and regulators
  • Build transparent impact models including direct, indirect, and induced effects with documented assumptions
  • Synthesize industry, labor, and administrative data to produce policy-ready findings and recommendations
  • Present methodologies and analytical results to agency sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Contribute economic-impact content and past-performance narratives to company proposals
