Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least seven years of progressive experience in lighting, lighting controls, or electrical design industries.
- Proven outside-sales success across agency, specification, distribution, or contractor channels.
- Demonstrated ability to build territory plans, manage sales pipelines, and forecast accurately.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to travel frequently.
- Established relationships with lighting agents, engineers, and architects in Western North America preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and lighting plans; Bluebeam experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lighting-control protocols, system design, and commissioning strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Establish annual and quarterly sales plans with agency partners and define measurable goals.
- Review CRM data, pipeline activity, and forecasts to drive accountability and decision-making.
- Maintain and expand relationships with agents, engineers, architects, distributors, and contractors.
- Identify coverage gaps and recruit, onboard, and develop new agents in underperforming markets.
- Deliver product training, presentations, and design discussions to build partner confidence.
- Proactively identify and advance project opportunities from specification through order.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations.
- Recruit, lead, and develop regional sales managers as the territory grows.
