Requirements
- Prior experience submitting drug prior authorizations (e.g., experience using CoverMyMeds).
- Reliable internet connection with download speeds of at least 20 Mbps and upload speeds of at least 10 Mbps.
- Ability to work independently with supervisor oversight.
- Upholding confidentiality when managing private patient data.
- Own laptop/PC to utilize company workspace.
- Two computer monitors is strongly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Send prior authorization requests to various insurance companies.
- Review patient medical records, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation to gather necessary information for authorization requests.
- Ensure that all prior authorization forms and supporting documents are correctly filled out, delivered on schedule, and submitted.
- Understands and follows applicable HIPAA regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Answer any medical questions the insurance company may have.
