Requirements
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- 2-4 years of industry experience with patient-facing or high-touch customer interaction.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare (A, B, C, D), Medicaid & Commercial payers policies and coverage guidelines.
- Robust computer literacy skills including data entry and MS Office software.
- Strong people skills demonstrating flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, and trust.
- Excellent written and oral communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work full-time with mandatory training 8:00am-5:00pm CST.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules between 7:00am-8:00pm CST.
- Ability to provide a private environment with high-speed internet meeting specific technical requirements (15Mbps download/5Mbps upload/30ms ping).
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire care process with a sense of urgency from benefit investigation/verification to medication delivery.
- Conduct benefit verifications and collaborate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
- Assist in obtaining insurance, prior authorization, and appeal requirements and outcomes.
- Help patients understand insurance plan coverage and provide guidance on the appeals process.
- Resolve patient questions and concerns regarding the status of their assistance requests.
- Demonstrate expertise in payer landscapes including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans.
- Process enrollments via fax, phone, and electronically.
- Scrutinize forms and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Receive inbound calls from patients and providers, striving for one-call resolution.
