Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of applicable professional experience (Tier II) or 7+ years (Tier III).
- Hands-on experience with the Momentum financial management system.
- Experience supporting multiple Momentum modules and/or functional business process areas.
- Experience performing root-cause analysis and troubleshooting business, system, data, and configuration issues.
- Experience working with both functional and technical teams.
- Experience in an Agile development or application support environment.
- Familiarity with Agility, VA's ticketing system.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain functional and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Momentum subject matter expert, providing functional and business analysis support across multiple Momentum modules and business process areas.
- Work directly with Department of Veterans Affairs customers, functional teams, technical teams, developers, and program stakeholders to understand requirements, investigate issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and evaluate potential solutions based on business requirements, system functionality, technical considerations, and downstream impacts.
- Utilize Agility, the VA ticketing system, to review, track, document, update, and support the resolution of tickets.
- Translate customer and business needs into clear functional requirements and actionable information for technical teams and developers.
- Participate in Agile development and support activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain clear and accurate functional documentation, process documentation, issue analyses, and other project deliverables.
