Requirements
- Master's degree with 4 years experience, Bachelor's degree with 6 years, Associate degree with 7 years, or 8 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-10, revenue coding, and UB-04 requirements.
- Verifiable knowledge of the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS).
- Current Epic certification in a Revenue Cycle application (specifically Resolute Hospital Billing).
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare revenue cycle workflows.
- Working knowledge of Epic applications, with specific Revenue Guardian expertise strongly preferred.
- Experience implementing technology or system changes in a hospital environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform critical quality analysis and testing of new software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Perform system analysis, design, configuration, validation, and ongoing maintenance of Epic Resolute HB Revenue Guardian rules and work queues.
- Configure and optimize Revenue Guardian rules and automated controls to improve charge capture accuracy and reduce revenue leakage.
- Analyze and resolve Revenue Guardian alerts, exceptions, and system-generated billing issues.
- Monitor system performance and work queues to identify and mitigate operational or financial risks.
- Analyze large datasets and Epic reports to identify trends, productivity issues, and revenue improvement opportunities.
- Investigate root causes for complex charging issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical assistance to other analysts.
