Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant network engineering experience.
- Extensive experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and broader product portfolio.
- Strong experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower, Secure Firewall Management Center, Nexus platforms, and routers/switches.
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
- Strong experience with Juniper EX/QFX switches, routers, and SRX firewalls.
- Proven experience designing and troubleshooting SD-WAN environments, particularly FortiGate.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
- Extensive experience with F5 load balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM) and VMware NSX (NSX-V/NSX-T).
- Production experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect) and Cloudflare services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure, install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto next-generation firewall technologies.
- Manage customer-facing networks and contribute to network expansion by recommending architectures and hardware.
- Design and review network and system architectures to ensure alignment with security policies and industry best practices.
- Implement and support SD-WAN, MPLS, wired and wireless Layer 2/Layer 3 connectivity, routers, switches, and load-balancing solutions.
- Provide advanced, multi-layer technical support within a 24/7 Network Operations Center environment.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network incidents, including issues with service-impacting consequences.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and third-party providers during design sessions and technical troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation and provide clear updates regarding incident progress and root causes.
