Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with complex, scalable software.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Node.js, and/or Python.
- Willingness to learn and use Vue.js for frontend integration.
- Deep understanding of identity and access management: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
- Experience designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and automated quality gates.
- Experience with observability, alerting, and reliable distributed systems.
- Technical leadership skills to drive decisions in cross-functional environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate across time zones using asynchronous communication and documentation.
- Familiarity with GitOps principles.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure backend services using Go, Node.js, and/or Python.
- Produce well-documented, maintainable, and high-performance code, with particular attention to minimizing latency.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests for new and legacy services.
- Strengthen engineering quality through automated CI/CD gates.
- Partner with Product and UX teams across time zones to refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to engineering roadmap discussions and technical priorities.
- Design alerts, operational processes, and runbooks that support reliable, zero-downtime deployments.
- Improve engineering workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
- Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Facilitate consensus and provide technical direction across distributed teams.
