Requirements
- 8+ years of experience architecting and building production platforms.
- Proven hands-on ownership of data architecture across ingestion, ETL, transformation, and BI.
- Strong DevOps experience in designing, deploying, and scaling production infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to write and ship production code.
- Hands-on experience with modern data technologies like Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Experience handling and protecting sensitive PHI/PII data.
- Practical experience with GitOps workflows, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent).
- Experience mentoring engineers in architecture and platform engineering practices.
- Previous people-management experience or demonstrated readiness to lead teams.
- Comfort working in a small, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end data architecture, including data ingestion, ETL, transformation, reporting, and BI layers.
- Lead the architecture and operation of DevOps and infrastructure supporting AI engineering.
- Establish technical direction, architecture standards, and engineering practices across data infrastructure.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade systems while writing and shipping code.
- Build and lead the data and platform organization, including hiring and team development.
- Partner with AI engineering leadership to align platform investments with strategic priorities.
- Translate business priorities into practical data strategy and architecture decisions.
