Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 9–12 years of progressive experience in technology leadership, data engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise cloud platforms.
- 5+ years of experience leading managers and highly technical teams in engineering environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale platform modernization and cloud transformation.
- Proven ability to lead multiple engineering teams through managers, technical leads, and vendors.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar operating and capital budgets and performing ROI analysis.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present strategy and investment tradeoffs to leadership.
- Success partnering across enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and product functions.
- Knowledge of cloud-native engineering, data protection, observability, automation, and enterprise data governance.
- Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries preferred.
Responsibilities
- Translate enterprise data engineering and platform strategy into an executable operating model, roadmap, and governance standards.
- Lead data engineering, platform engineering, data integration, and data operations teams.
- Establish engineering standards, reliability, automation processes, and service-level objectives.
- Direct multiple engineering managers and technical leaders while managing workforce planning and leadership development.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders in architecture, security, compliance, analytics, product, and clinical business units.
- Govern technology portfolios, investment priorities, and annual capital and operating budgets.
- Lead vendor strategy, contract negotiations, and managed service relationships.
- Monitor organizational performance through executive dashboards, reliability metrics, and business outcomes.
