Requirements
- National Medical Assistant Certification required.
- Strong analytical ability.
- One or more years of healthcare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health care preferred.
- Commitment to providing stellar internal and external customer service.
- Ability to work a 4x10 schedule (8:00am-6:30pm EST).
- Must maintain a private, HIPAA-compliant, distraction-free workspace.
- Must be fully available and focused during scheduled work hours.
- Willingness to participate in video meetings with camera on.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and support members over chat, email, and phone using exceptional customer service.
- Relay member needs to providers.
- Correspond with pharmacies and complete prior authorizations to resolve prescription issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding member information in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of internal EHR, product, and communication platforms.
- Facilitate video drug screens and interpret results.
- Educate members on drug screening options and troubleshoot barriers.
- Perform care management outreach to improve engagement in care plan activities.
