Requirements
- 6+ years across analytics, BI, or data engineering with production ownership of models and metrics.
- Expert SQL skills and strong dimensional modeling instincts.
- Production experience with dbt, including models, tests, macros, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with a cloud lakehouse or warehouse like Databricks or Spark SQL.
- Real visualization talent with a BI semantic layer, preferably Power BI and DAX.
- Strong stakeholder fluency to translate business needs into technical definitions.
- Proven ability to perform data reconciliation to resolve conflicting figures.
- Git and pull-request discipline.
- Proficiency in Python for tasks like API calls, file parsing, and data manipulation.
- Comfort with high autonomy in a fast, async, Slack-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Run discovery with business stakeholders to turn needs into buildable acceptance criteria.
- Model noisy healthcare operational data into certified dimensional models using dbt and SQL.
- Own metric definitions to create a single, documented, governed semantic layer.
- Build and own the visualization layer including Power BI semantic models and dashboards.
- Manage observability for models, including freshness, latency, and statistical anomaly detection.
- Orchestrate data workflows using dbt Cloud, Airflow DAGs, and incremental runs.
- Create documentation, CI-enforced knowledge bases, and handoff packets.
- Automate recurring work using AI-assisted, repeatable, and testable workflows.
