Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on Software Development/Engineering background.
- Proven experience designing distributed systems and building them.
- Proficiency in at least one relevant language: Kotlin, Go, Rust, Solidity, TypeScript, or Zig.
- Strong knowledge of Ethereum and EVM or demonstrated ability to learn rapidly from adjacent distributed systems experience.
- Experience architecting for secure, mission-critical systems.
- Ability to communicate complex architecture, including failure modes and coupling, to internal and external institutional stakeholders.
- Excellent writing skills for creating professional design documents and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Pragmatic decision-making capability in ambiguous technical environments.
- Experience using AI tools to explore designs, write/test PoCs, and draft documentation.
- Understanding of ZK proof systems, privacy technologies (MPC, trusted execution), and regulated financial infrastructure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and document architecture across the platform, including sequencer, coordinator, ZK proving stack, interop layer, and privacy components.
- Develop cross-ledger interoperability architecture as a core differentiator.
- Translate detailed institutional requirement documents into actionable technical designs, including trade-offs and constraints.
- Build proofs of concept in partnership with the engineering team to resolve technical ambiguity.
- Conduct design reviews and document architecture decisions, reasoning, and discarded options for internal clarity.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy trade-offs for third-party components versus internal development.
- Provide technical depth in client and partner deep-dive meetings regarding system resilience, privacy, and finality.
