Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive software engineering experience with expertise in leading technical architecture for multi-team environments.
- Deep technical proficiency in native mobile architecture (iOS and Android) using Swift, Kotlin, Java, or Objective-C.
- Proven track record designing high-traffic, resilient distributed systems and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
- Practical experience architecting media playback, streaming protocols, CDN configurations, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Hands-on experience integrating data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, CPRA) in high-availability environments.
- Demonstrated experience with Git, continuous integration pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical architectural designs.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to systematically diagnose and resolve production incidents under high-urgency conditions.
Responsibilities
- Architect shared design systems across native iOS and Android codebases to maximize code reuse and development velocity.
- Lead platform-to-client architecture for personalized, high-traffic media delivery.
- Evaluate and select between custom builds and vendor solutions to set company technology standards.
- Provide technical oversight across multi-team product roadmaps and project proposals.
- Conduct architectural code reviews with a focus on security, privacy compliance, and cloud cost optimization.
- Participate in automated deployments and on-call rotations to resolve critical production incidents.
- Mentor engineering staff and advocate for efficient, inclusive agile development practices.
