Requirements
- Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or a relevant field.
- Active, fully licensed LCSW in good standing.
- 3+ years of relevant experience delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Experience teaching relaxation strategies such as diaphragmatic breathing and progressive muscle relaxation.
- Experience with Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with other care providers like MDs and dietitians.
- Competency with administrative technologies such as Zoom, Slack, and Google Drive.
- Experience with electronic health record charting and telehealth platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of MDs, dietitians, and other providers to offer a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and relaxation strategies.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to design goals for patients with GI conditions.
- Maintain accurate health records and encounters within the electronic health record system.
- Participate in clinical coordination meetings and professional training to maintain licensure.
- Contribute to the development of psychological best practices to improve patient experience.
