Requirements
- Three to five years of professional experience in strategic, public affairs, or organizational communications.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and editing high-quality content for senior-leadership materials.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, research, and information-synthesis skills.
- Experience managing multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced client-service environment.
- Ability to translate complex, technical, or operational information into concise, audience-appropriate language.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of digital communications, web content practices, and analytics.
- Ability to work effectively with government personnel and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to satisfy federal suitability, onboarding, and information-handling requirements.
Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and quality-check communications products such as fact sheets, announcements, reports, and briefing materials.
- Support strategic communications plans by identifying audiences, objectives, and key messages.
- Prepare executive-ready briefing materials and presentations, incorporating leadership feedback.
- Support organizational change initiatives through targeted communications and engagement activities.
- Coordinate stakeholder outreach, including events, workshops, and internal forums.
- Maintain digital content for websites, intranets, and SharePoint platforms.
- Conduct media and communications monitoring to identify trends, risks, and stakeholder feedback.
- Track deliverables, deadlines, and communications metrics to support status reporting.
