Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public administration, fire science or protection, safety, business, healthcare administration, organizational resilience, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in emergency or crisis management, business continuity, organizational resilience, or disaster preparedness.
  • Experience developing, implementing, evaluating, or improving emergency management and resilience programs, plans, procedures, training, exercises, or assessments.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple workstreams and independently manage assigned responsibilities.
  • Interest and experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Contributions to industry thought leadership through presentations, publications, research, or similar activities.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%, with possible international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of emergency management, business continuity, crisis management, and organizational resilience programs.
  • Conduct hazard, risk, vulnerability, capability, and preparedness assessments to identify operational gaps, priorities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and revise emergency operations plans, continuity plans, crisis management frameworks, response procedures, playbooks, and other preparedness and resilience documentation.
  • Design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate training, workshops, tabletop exercises, functional exercises, and other preparedness activities.
  • Provide practical, evidence-informed recommendations that align client programs with applicable regulations, standards, and industry practices.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from frontline personnel to executive leadership.
  • Manage assigned projects including scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and client communication.
  • Support business development, including identifying client needs, developing proposals, and participating in client meetings.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through research, publications, and professional organization participation.
  • Support incident response, crisis management, or recovery activities when requested.
