Requirements
- Experience using DoD cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, DISA STIGs, and eMASS.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management processes or experience in Information Assurance operations within a DoD environment.
- Ability to analyze vulnerability data and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, IS, or CS (ABET or CAE accredited).
- Professional certification: CEH, CySA+, PenTest+, or GICSP.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Tier 3/NACLC) clearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc vulnerability scans using tools such as ACAS (e.g., Nessus), SCAP, and SCC.
- Analyze vulnerability scan results, identify potential security risks, and produce detailed reports with mitigation recommendations.
- Support tracking and reporting of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) compliance.
- Collaborate with system administrators, security engineers, and other cybersecurity personnel to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Maintain accurate logs, dashboards, and documentation to support audits, inspections, and compliance efforts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and security practices across enterprise environments.
