Requirements
- Deep, current hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud, including permissions, SCIM, identity provisioning, and Jira architecture at enterprise scale.
- Ability to read, troubleshoot, evaluate, and improve administrative tooling built against the Atlassian REST API; Python experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading platform consolidation, workflow redesign, or technology transformation in post-M&A or multi-business-unit environments.
- Proven experience owning an enterprise platform internally.
- Experience operating technology platforms within regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI, FedRAMP, GxP).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise software licensing, vendor management, seat forecasting, and renewal support.
- Proven ability to build, restructure, or turn around technical teams and develop people leaders.
- Understanding of iterative product and platform delivery, replacing long initiatives with shorter, incremental cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to assess technical risks and learn from unsuccessful experiments.
- AI-first mindset with practical experience incorporating AI into workflows and operations.
- Strong executive communication skills and ability to bridge technical strategies with business decisions.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and governance strategy for a multi-instance Atlassian Cloud environment, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and related AI capabilities.
- Establish scalable standards for permissions, SCIM, identity provisioning, and Jira architecture.
- Lead the consolidation of Atlassian products and business systems across multiple business units.
- Manage the platform's HIPAA and BAA compliance posture.
- Define platform strategy and provide technical judgment for licensing decisions.
- Partner with senior and executive stakeholders to redesign workflows and operating models.
- Lead internal and external delivery tracks while coaching people leaders.
- Build and strengthen internal technical expertise to reduce reliance on external consultants.
- Apply an AI-first approach to platform architecture, administration, and team workflows.
- Maintain platform health and identify opportunities for automation and modernization.
