Requirements

  • Solid experience in project management or PMO functions.
  • Experience working within a remote or distributed team.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to assess before prescribing.
  • Ability to engage collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and communicate insights to non-specialists.
  • Commitment to community leadership and shared decision-making.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM or equivalent certification (nice to have).

Responsibilities

  • Lead back-office project operations: tracking, reporting, and resourcing across PLACE's project portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain registers for project risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, and embed a consistent approach to escalating and resolving them.
  • Work closely with PLACE's Evaluation and Learning Lead to ensure project processes and reporting align with PLACE's Theory of Change.
  • Build strong working relationships across PLACE's distributed, remote-first team.
  • Establish and implement systems to monitor project delivery, ensuring activities are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Help establish an external panel of specialists and experts for contracted project work.
  • Adapt the PMO function as the organizational structure settles following recent restructuring.
