Requirements
- 7+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects.
- Valid Mechanical P.E. license.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (will consider Engineering in Training certification).
- Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve objectives.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
- Self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases.
- Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers.
- Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings.
- Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers.
- Conduct major equipment selection and scheduling.
