Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience owning account reconciliations and month-end close.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and internal controls/segregation of duties.
- Detail-oriented with ability to maintain full ownership of assigned accounts.
- Effective communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- CPA or active candidate status (preferred).
- Public accounting/Big Four experience (preferred).
- Experience in a highly-regulated industry like insurance, healthcare, or financial services (preferred).
- Familiarity with GAAP reporting and multi-entity structures (preferred).
- Experience with NetSuite and close-management platforms like FloQast (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record administrative and operating expense accruals.
- Own a portfolio of prepaid and accrual reconciliations.
- Reconcile payroll and benefit-related accounts and provide independent review.
- Maintain investment and debt accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare covenant compliance and monthly reporting for lenders.
- Serve as preparer or independent reviewer to support segregation of duties.
- Support internal-use software capitalization and lease accounting under ASC 842.
- Partner with Finance Operations and FP&A to resolve variances and drive system-based allocations.
- Implement AI-enabled or automation tools to improve accounting efficiency.
