Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams that build customer-facing products.
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams of 10+ engineers, including Staff and Principal levels.
- Expertise in containers, container registries, and the OCI image format.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and services written in Go.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure on GCP or AWS.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous product goals into concrete technical plans in a hyper-growth environment.
- Familiarity with agentic coding tools for development and operations.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience managing remote-first, distributed teams.
- Strong strategic thinking skills for capacity planning and business alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Container Product Engineering team by setting clear goals and maintaining a healthy operating cadence.
- Coach a senior-heavy team of fifteen, including Staff and Principal engineers, through direct feedback and career development.
- Partner with Product Managers and Technical Program Managers to translate requirements into technical outcomes and project plans.
- Maintain high technical standards by reviewing designs and pull requests, and making final decisions on contested technical directions.
- Adopt and integrate agentic coding tools into design, implementation, and operations workflows.
- Plan headcount and capacity, commit to delivery timelines, and report progress to leadership.
- Collaborate with internal platform engineering, sales, customer success, and support teams to support product delivery.
